We’ll be covering more finance news in the behavioral health industry on our blog. Today we’re sharing some great news from the mental health funding world.

“In late December, the federal government appropriated nearly $23 million in funding for Mental Health First Aid projects in FY 2020. Grant applications are now available, and we encourage eligible organizations to apply for grants that are appropriate to their needs.

The Project AWARE state education agency (SEA) grants will help expand MHFA in school settings and get young people the mental health and substance use support they need.

As Mental Health First Aiders, you are critical in spreading the word and expanding this program to get people the mental health and substance use support they need. If you are considering submitting an application, be sure to complete the registration process immediately. We’ve created a special web page with information that will help you learn how to use this opportunity to get funding for your Mental Health First Aid Program.

Together, we can #BeTheDifference with Mental Health First Aid.”
